My husband is a big Frank’s Redhot sauce fan. As the kitschy marketing tagline goes, he puts that shit on everything. I, on the other hand, prefer my own brand of spice aka this ridiculous Spicy Peanut Sauce that I have negligently failed to post for all of you yet!
No lengthy post this time – just the goods! This sauce is perfect to drizzle on brown rice buddha bowls, spiralled zucchini noodle dishes or for dipping raw veggies, raw spring rolls or homemade (and ok, sometimes store-bought) chicken fingers!
So without further ado….
The Natural Blonde
Spicy Peanut Sauce
- ½ cup natural smooth peanut butter
- 2 tsp. coconut sugar
- 2 Tbsp. tamari
- 1 tsp. dark sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. dried ginger
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1-2 tsp. red pepper flakes (depending on how much spice you like!)
- juice from half a lime
- water as needed to thin (approx. ¼ cup usually)
Blend all ingredients in food processor or blender (I use my magic bullet), scraping sides occasionally. Store in an airtight container for up to a week!
